About

Hi, i’m Amaani Noor — the writer behind Lowe & Gray, , a fantasy mystery series I’ve been working on for the past seven years. When I’m not writing, I’m probably replaying one of my favourite cosy games or creating something in one way or another. I’ve always had a soft spot for “cute” things and often express this through fashion, stationery, teacups, and the small everyday details that make life feel a little more magical.I enjoy building worlds, drawing inspiration from art, stories, and the little things that catch my attention. My aim is to bring a little magic into our world.

Lowe and Gray

About the Series

Lowe and Gray is a fantasy mystery series blending murder investigations, hidden magic, and noir-inspired storytelling. I began developing the series over seven years ago, building a world shaped by ancient magical traditions, powerful founding families, and the politics of a hidden society. The story follows Aurora Gray and Jensen Lowe, two unlikely allies drawn into a dangerous conflict after the mysterious death of Aurora’s brother. What begins as a search for answers soon becomes something far larger: a confrontation with dark forces, buried secrets, and the fragile balance of power within the magical world. At its heart, Lowe & Gray explores themes of grief, trust, identity, legacy, and the cost of power. The series combines intricate world-building including unique magic systems, historical factions, and an original island nation, with character-driven storytelling, dry humour, and high emotional stakes.

The Story

Aurora Gray never believed in magic — until her brother’s death exposed a world built on it. The official report called it a seizure. The truth is uglier: murder, at the hands of the dark sorcerer Malignant.
Thrust into a hidden war of sorcerers, Aurora’s only ally is Jensen Lowe, a war-scarred vigilante obsessed with bringing Malignant down. Their search leads from blood-reactive sigils to the cursed lands, where time loops and the dead whisper, as they find themselves in a race against Malignant to find the Codex of Shadows — a legendary power rumoured to hold the power to rewrite life, death, and truth itself.
Twice Aurora survives Malignant. The third time, she might not.
To save the world, she’ll have to decide how far she’s willing to go — and what she’s willing to lose.
Lowe and Gray: saving the world one catastrophe at a time.
In a world where truth can be rewritten, survival means knowing who to trust.
